Senior Spotlight- Maddie Egan

Hi! I’m Maddie Egan! I have been dancing since I was three years old, and I started competitive dance when I was 10! I just joined Braemer last year, and have had such a great experience being part of this amazing studio! I will be graduating from Lincoln Way East this year. I am attending Illinois State University in the Fall to study Communication Sciences and Disorders. I plan to become a Speech and Language Pathologist in the future! It’s hard to believe that my time as a dancer is coming to an end, but I am so grateful to have been part of such a talented team. I will miss Dance, but am very excited for all the future has in store for me!

Hi!

The tickets for both shows are done and ready. We will hand directly to most dancers in classes this week to bring home. Any parents of younger children who prefer to pick up (or only Friday/Saturday dancers), we will have ticket pick up hours at The Square (right outside of the main studio).

Ticket pick up hours:
Monday 5/4: 5pm-7pm
Tuesday 5/5: 4pm-6pm

We will also have the tickets with us at Dress Rehearsal on Friday for those that still need to pick up at that point.

Thank you!

Senior Spotlight- Mia Carone

Hi I'm Mia! I've been dancing at BDC since I was 3 and competing since I was 9. In the fall, I plan on majoring in health science specializing in radiologic technology. Dance has brought me so many of my closest friendships that I'll forever cherish! My favorite memories have to be laughing and being "outrageous" with my friends in class, getting to hangout with my teammates in hotel lobbies during long comp weekends, and strength class! I'm so grateful for all my teachers who shaped me into who I am today! I'll always appreciate my time at BDC and all it has given me!!!

Senior Spotlight- Samantha Safarik

Hi I’m Samantha Safarik! I have danced competitively for 10 years. I’m not only a dancer at Braemar, but also a teacher! I’m so grateful to be apart of a community where I’m set up to thrive. Outside of Braemar I attend Lincoln-Way East High School. I am in National Honor Society and a high honor roll student. I was on the POMS and dance team all 4 years. I was also on Griffin Crew, which was a program for helping and guiding freshman! I’ll be going to Iowa State in the fall for Health Science. I eventually want to do occupational therapy. I’m going to miss dance so much, but I’m going to miss the people even more. I can’t wait to watch the program continue to grow, and I’m so excited for my future.

Senior Spotlight: Brendan Niemczak

Hi I’m Brendan and I’ve been dancing at BDC for almost 10 years now. This fall, I’m attending Joliet Junior College for two years and then transferring to an undecided university to study human factors, a branch of engineering that’s also combined with factors of psychology, which have both been huge interests of mine throughout my whole life. It definitely took some time and convincing for me to finally agree to do dance as a kid, but I’ll always be so glad that I did because I’ve had some of the best experiences in my time growing up here. I’ve been part of so many cool dances, but some of my hip hop and contemporary ones in recent years are the ones that will stick with me forever. Aside from dance itself, I’ve also really appreciated having teachers that have pushed me so much and helped me grow in so many ways, but also having incredible teammates that I’m fortunate enough to call my friends. While I’m extremely sad to not be able to dance and practice here everyday anymore, I’m also very excited to start this new part of my life. I’ll always be so grateful for everything BDC has done for me.

Hi dance families!

We want to check in with some important upcoming dates and information. (More detailed email was sent)

* Dance picture day is Sunday April 26th at The Square/BDC main dance studio.

* Dress Rehearsal is Friday late afternoon/evening May 8th at Lincoln Way East.

* Showcase is Saturday May 9th at Lincoln Way East. There will be two shows (one at 3:30pm and one at 6:30pm) Each class dance will only be in one show.

All of these schedules are being finalized and will be released first thing next week. We will also send out a Google form at the same time to request extra show tickets, if needed.
