HAPPY LABOR DAY!

The On-Stage Foundation Board of Directors and Creative Staff of the Red Barn Summer Theatre wish you a very happy Labor Day! We hope you take a few minutes today to relax and watch the clouds; you've earned it!

As you enjoy your long weekend, don't forget to mark your calendar for the Red Barn Summer Theatre's Annual Meeting at 6:30 PM on Thursday, September 10th. We will meet at the Frankfort Neighborhood Center this year and would love for you to be a part of the conversation. MISSING US? DON'T WORRY, WE'RE SAD TOO!

After a whirlwind of a summer, it seems almost unfathomable that we're already well over a month past our closing bow. Artistic Director Michael Taylor and Associate Director Luke McLaughlin blinked, and somehow they're already in their fourth week of the new school year! How did that happen?

So, if you're missing the beautiful summer nights, the live music on the lawn, or an old barn filled with laughter, know that the company and creative team of the Red Barn are right there with you! You may be missing us, but we think it's fair to say we miss you more! It was a wonderful summer, and though we know it's not possible, we wish we could go back, even for a few days.

However, despite our fond memories of the past, we're also hard at work selecting shows, writing grants, and preparing for Season 59 next summer. We hope you'll join us on Thursday, September 10th at 6:00 PM for our annual meeting, where we will discuss not only this incredible season, but the future of the Red Barn Summer Theatre! This year's meeting will be held at the Frankfort Neighborhood Center on 3rd Street; we hope to see you there!

FREE FLOWERS - TONIGHT!

Don't forget that our master gardener, Andi, will be out at the Red Barn this evening, giving away plants from our flower boxes, flower pots, and planters! Swing by from 4:00 to 6:00 PM to select a few items to enjoy at home! This is a one-day-only event, so take advantage while you can.

And while you're there, make sure to thank Andi for all of her hard work. She's spent hundreds of hours in the garden this summer, in the heat, humidity, and rain. We truly could not do it without her, and we want to make sure he hard work does not go unrecognized!

A HARVEST OF FLOWERS!

If you’ve visited the Red Barn, you’ve seen the beautiful array of flowers that Gardener Andi has grown in window boxes, wooden boxes, feed troughs, washtubs, and pots. Well, the season is over, and there’s no one to admire them anymore, so Andi’s decided to host her ANNUAL FREE FLOWER GIVEAWAY event on Monday, July 27th, from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Barn.

Bring a flowerpot or a bucket, some dirt, and a scooper, and take home a flower. Each “flower child” will be limited in the number of flowers they can receive, depending on attendance & interest. There will be no car parkers, so please be considerate and careful when driving into the Barnyard. This offer does not include any plants from our flower beds.

We are only able to have such beautiful flowers for our Red Barn season due to the generosity of local growers: Bittersweet Nursery, BCS Flowers & Gifts, and Phillip’s Greenhouse. So come on out to the Red Barn Summer Theatre for our Free Flower Giveaway and take home a living souvenir courtesy of the Red Barn to brighten your porch, sidewalk, or entryway!

HOW DO YOU MEASURE A YEAR?

We're taking inspiration from our friends at the Indiana Repertory Theatre and compiling our 2026 season into numbers! We're not necessarily math experts at the Barn, but we think some of these numbers will amaze and excite you! Season 58 set multiple records at the Red Barn, and we want all of our loyal patrons, donors, and sponsors to share in this season's success.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this season one of our best ever. We can't wait for season 59!

OUR FRONT OF HOUSE STARS!

This morning, we want to take a moment to thank our Front of House All-Stars!

Working in the Box Office is often a thankless job, but their hard work on the patron-facing side makes what we do on stage possible. From selling tickets over the phone, to manning The Pump at intermission, to cleaning the bathroom and clearing trash cans, their tireless work keeps the gears spinning exactly as they should. We know we don't say thank you enough for all your hard work, so we hope this moment of recognition will make up for at least a few of the times we fell short. We love and appreciate you, and we know our patrons do, too!

So thank you, thank you, thank you to Natalie, Andi, Megan, Emma, Anna, Lizzie, Stacey, Ellie, Brynner, and all of the volunteer ushers who made this season go on without a hitch!

AND THEN... IT WAS OVER.

The cast and crew of "Something Rotten!" made sure to stop and "revel in the moment" yesterday after the conclusion of the show. Theatre is a magical form; we join together for a few short weeks, create a collective piece of art, perform to adoring family, friends, and fans, and then... we scatter to our respective home bases. Pictures like this one are special because the chances of all these individuals being in the same place at the same time again are slim, and even if we were, the circumstances would change. As we pack up the theatre today, stories will be shared, memories will be solidified, and yes, a few tears will likely be shed.

This group made Season 58 of the Red Barn Summer Theatre happen, and for that, we're forever grateful. Cheers to another successful season. We look forward to Season 59!

LAST CALL!

It's hard to believe, but today is the final performance of "Something Rotten!" and the closing performance of our 58th summer season! In the coming days, we will post a recap of the summer, but know that a lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into this season. It's been a lot of hard work, but a lot of fun at the same time. Endings are bittersweet.

But before we get there, we get to perform one more time for our adoring patrons. As of this morning, we have three seats remaining for today's 2:00 PM matinee, and 20ish extreme side seats available for $10 each. Side seats are on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you're hoping to secure any of the remaining spots for this afternoon, arrive early to purchase your ticket at the Box Office! Questions, call us at (765) 659-1657! Let's fill the house today and send this historic summer off in style!

TWO SHOW DAY!

The cast and crew of "Something Rotten" are ready to party through this two-show day! This has been a special run; many of our cast are really sad to see it end this weekend.

We have a special matinee at 2:00 PM today and an evening performance at 7:30 PM. Tomorrow's closing matinee is nearly sold out, so today is your best opportunity to see this show that our audiences have been raving about! Visit www.redbarntheatre.net to reserve your seats or call the Box Office at (765) 659-1657! And don't forget, you can also purchase tickets at the door; we will find a place for you!

We will see you at the theatre!
