I am in the planning phases of doing a painting gathering where we would gather as a group and paint an image in a meditative space. For those interested would this be better on a Sunday afternoon or Saturday evening? This will be a 2 to 3 hour session that will allow time for relaxed painting. Although I will be painting with you and providing simple instruction, this is more for relaxation and fun than formal instruction. This will be held in Frankfort and with limited tickets.

Latest painting. 24x30" acrylic on canvas. After my swan painting and working the water elements I really enjoyed painting that part of the swan, it was complete organized chaos. From that effort, I expanded the detailing elements of that by exposing the natural fall of the paint and made each layer look more 3 dimensional by adding the ideas of shadow, ultimately creating this effect. I call it "defragmentation" not sure if that exists or whatever, I'll look it up later. But I will be exploring this style on a few more pieces. The expression of this is unbridled spirit of the horse as it is being pulled apart into fragments; So I am calling it "Defragmentation of the Unbridled Spirit"

So, I have been giving it some thought. I will be at the gallery viewing house, 511 West Broadway st. In frankfort from 7 to 830 tomorrow night for those who have purchased paintings to pick them up. If you missed the show last night and are able to come, it'll be open for you to see it. Unfortunately it will be much less formal however, but it will still allow those who couldn't make it see the art up front and personal. If you did come and want to look again, you are more than welcome.
