Mural panel is finished and delivered to the Memorial Building (City Hall). It represents 325 years of Framingham's landscape and environment history. All plant and animal species in it have been here at least that long. The map, with nods to historical places spanning the four centuries, shows current existing green spaces and waterways. Over that are darker green areas showing more vegetation and less population and commercial density all the way to tan which represents higher population and commercial industry. Lighter green represents a mix, and generally landscaped neighborhoods. Reading about the history of Framingham, I learned that everywhere its first crop was pine trees, followed next by corn and wheat planted everywhere. Also, river eels were more abundant and a food source. History is fascinating!

Roll out of free art on the little tree this week. One was put out today actually.

Thanks for coming out today for the opening of the ART on the CRT public art project. When explaining mine, basically: the little eye-catching tree will be moved from time to time between School Street and Old Connecticut Path in Framingham. 3 art objects a week will hang on it as giveaways. You must find the tree, and therefore move to find it. The trail is not long and is handicapped accessible. All my upcycled and free art has motivational messages and imagery somehow promoting movement. Movement is good for you! The whole theme of this public art project is Moving! Until September 1st.
