retreat is still reverberating in my mind. Seven days of deep listening, sharing, and getting to know 18 amazing creatives invested in improving their communities through a variety of approaches. Each one looking to effect change - the type of change that sometimes starts small but ripples and grows into brighter futures. I feel lucky to have met so many fantastic people over a transformative week.

For this mural I’m using phrases from What if We Get it Right by the brilliant - this awesome book is filled with information about the climate crisis but also a loving approach to the abundance of solutions out there. The truth is if we move past the fear mongering narratives there’s a lot of work to be done and a myriad of attainable ways each of us can contribute to lowering carbon emissions.

It’s been ten months in the making! After over 30 public engagements in Natick and Framingham in schools and community centers we are finally building A Home for Future Generations! This public art piece is centered on sustainability and attainable ways where we can contribute to lowering carbon emissions. We’ve been working rain or shine. More soon!

On view until May 8th. Ideas to Postpone the End of the World is titled after the book by renowned Indigenous activist Ailton Krenak and features works from the “Speaking Truth to Power “ series by Julia Csekö, which highlight writings by women, BIPOC, Latinx, and LGBTQIA thinkers who interrogate power structures and systemic injustice. In the RSM Gallery, Csekö draws from texts by Hannah Arendt, Julian Assange, Angela Davis, Diane di Prima, Roxanne Dunbar Ortiz, Paulo Freire, and Ailton Krenak. The artist’s interlocked color blocked shades draw in the viewer and disrupt linear narratives, while the playful letter spacing creates ambiguities that slow down visual reading and provide opportunities for critique and dialogue. 📸

Join us in welcoming Creative Community Fellows: New England’s two 2026 cohorts!

These 40 arts and culture leaders from across the region are about to embark on a tailored eight month journey to strengthen their leadership, build meaningful networks, and gain skills to continue driving transformative change in their communities.

This is the first time the program has featured two cohorts in the same year and we’re so excited to see them connect and thrive.

Discover the inspiring fellows in this year’s cohorts at the link in our bio.
