Be Unstoppable Katalyst Fitness is a fitness studio where change is ignited and everyone who joins will be unstoppable! Since then, I haven’t looked back.

After dancing with a group of women (and men) in a community surrounded by love and support made me feel like I was home at AliKat Moves, and that overwhelming feeling launched me into becoming a Zumba instructor in January 2014. I have expanded my fitness repertoire into strength training and powerlifting, and my passion for fitness and being a strong, independent woman has only grown. I want to continue to be a catalyst for change, as AliKat Moves will always be the catalyst for my big life changes. Being healthy isn't just a number on the scale! It's how you feel and how you choose to live your life. At Katalyst Fitness, our goal is to have you come into class excited and leave smiling, sweaty and feeling accomplished! Come and dance with us and see what the hype is about!

Pumpkin, spice & EVERYTHING FALL! 🍂🎃🍎

Fall is my absolute favorite season, so I couldn’t let it pass without getting the Katalyst Krew together at our home. We’ll have all the good fall things — pumpkin & apple treats, snacks, drinks, football, the Pats, and plenty of time to just relax, laugh, and hang out together.

And don’t feel like you have to commit to the whole thing! Stop by for the entire time, stay for a little while, or just pop in to say hi. We’d love to see you whenever you can make it!

Please RSVP by 10/14 by filling out the Google Form below so we can plan accordingly. We hope you’ll come join us for some cozy fall vibes, good food, and good company!

Katalyst Krew….. You’ve got 💌

Here are some of the highlights, but check your inbox for all the important details!

🗓️ Help Choose Our School Year Zumba Schedule: I just learned today that there’s an opportunity to shift our school year Zumba class to Wednesdays at 7:15 PM instead of Thursdays at 7:15 PM.

If you regularly attend weeknight classes, your input is especially valuable! Please let me know which day works best for you by Saturday, August 8 so I can finalize the schedule for September ASAP.

Complete the survey here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfRabgm7X3bgwMpWIB1QsP4WvdqqySrWh93YKN0PA4Nx9hODA/viewform

☀️ Katalyst Summer Splash Get-Together: To celebrate summer together outside the studio, we’re having a group get-together on Sunday, August 9, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM! A big thank you to Michele for offering to host us at her house—she has a pool and, unlike our apartment complex rules that limit us to two guests, we can all gather for a proper summer party! It’s going to be a wonderful afternoon to relax and enjoy the sunshine together after sweating it up in class that morning.

RSVP Required: Please reply to this email by Thursday, August 6 to confirm your spot, and I will follow up with the address details.

💜 On a personal note, I’ve been reflecting a lot lately on what this community truly means to me. I have been dancing in the Mill building, first with AliKat Moves and then as Katalyst Fitness, since 2013 - and it has been quite the journey. As the title of our new cooldown (starting tomorrow) says: "Thank you, I'm grateful for this feeling. Grateful for this feeling."

Every single day is a blessing, and I feel so incredibly lucky to lead and teach this amazing group. Every week, we all step onto the dance floor carrying whatever life brings us, often not knowing what everyone else might be walking in with—yet we continuously show up for each other and with each other, time and time again.

Thank you all for being such a special, supportive community. See you on the dance floor!

I know next weekend is a holiday weekend, and many of you are heading to the beach, the lake, on vacation or spending time with family and friends. Since I’m staying local this year, I figured we might as well kick off the festivities with some dancing before all the July 4th BBQs and fireworks!

I’m hoping to hold our regular weekend classes on Saturday, July 4th at 8:30 AM and Sunday, July 5th at 9:00 AM, but I need to make sure we have enough dancers around before making it official.

If you plan on dancing, please register online as you normally would by Wednesday, July 1 at 12:00 PM. I will be using these registration numbers to gauge interest, so if we don’t hit our minimum headcount by the Wednesday deadline, than one or both classes may be canceled. If you need help registering or you plan on attending but need a drop-in pass, then send us an email to confirm - [email protected].

I’ll send out a quick update right after the deadline to let everyone know the official schedule - as well as to provide our July studio updates!

If you’re in town, I’d love to see you! Let’s start the holiday weekend the Katalyst way—with great music, high energy, and a whole lot of fun.

Krew & Kast of Katalyst....

My heart is just completely full after this morning. As you all know, Broadway is definitely not my usual genre, and I felt so incredibly vulnerable stepping onto the floor today. But I always say that everyone is a dancer—if we hear the music, it makes us smile, and it keeps us moving. Katalyst is a space for everyone to fully live the 2026 motto - “My song is on. The world can wait.”

I am so deeply grateful to have shared that space with you all. I was so glad I could snap this photo because I wanted you to see what it looked like from the outside: a group of beautiful people throwing their whole hearts into the work. You absolutely killed it—hats and all! Thank you for making this space feel joyful, supportive and welcoming. Let's lace up and do it all over again tomorrow. Today, you were all truly….one singular sensation.

The lights are bright, the stage is set, and Nash has his golden top hat ready for his big Broadway debut! We are bringing the magic of NYC straight to the studio this Saturday for an epic, high-energy Broadway Pop-Up Dance Class. Get ready to leave it all on the dance floor as we jazz, strut, and sing along to an absolute powerhouse playlist featuring hits from Hairspray, The Wiz, In the Heights, Hamilton, Mamma Mia!, Chicago, Six, Chess, and A Chorus Line.

Marisa, Beth, and I are completely thrilled and cannot wait to dance with you.

You can use your regular class card to join, or drop in for just $17 using cash or Venmo (-Brother).

Plus, we have an amazing bonus for you: anyone who registers for class by Thursday, May 28th will be automatically entered into a raffle to win a 5-class card! Spaces are filling up faster than opening night on Broadway, so don't wait until the curtains close…register TODAY!

During the month of March, Katalyst was so full of energy, positive vibes, and the sounds of new songs and new friends. It was incredible to see how everyone truly lived Zumba’s motto: "My song is on, the world can wait." You let the outside world fade away and gave your all to the music, and the atmosphere in the studio was electric because of it.

I loved hearing about the dedication happening behind the scenes for March Madness BINGO—from people taking their boards home to color-code their squares to those of you meticulously planning out your entire month just to make sure you could fit everything in. That kind of commitment to prioritizing yourself is exactly what our community is about.

We have to give a HUGE congratulations to the two superstars pictured here who completed the ENTIRE board. Finishing every single square on that card is no small feat; it takes a level of dedication, planning, and relentless consistency that is truly next level.

We also want to recognize the incredible effort of those who were right on their heels: we had one person just 1 square away, one person 2 squares away, and another only 3 squares away from a total board completion. The drive you all showed to get that close was impressive (& fun) to watch.

Because this round was such a great way to build community, we aren’t waiting until next year to do it again. Fall Back-to-School Bingo is officially happening. We are already starting to dream up some brand-new squares to keep things fresh, and since this is your community, I am all ears. If you have thoughts on what challenges we should add to the next board to keep you on your toes, please let me know.

P.S. Check your emails. If you participated, your earned classes have officially been added to your accounts. Go claim your prize and we will see you on the dance floor.

One shot. One opportunity. 🎧

Since we’re off this Sunday, tomorrow at 8:30 AM is your only chance to hit the floor with me this weekend! If you’ve been waiting for a sign to move, this is it.

I’ve been busy refreshing the playlist and I am obsessed with the new additions. We’ve got some fresh electro-swing dropping that is guaranteed to be your new favorite obsession. It’s high energy, a little vintage, and a total blast to dance to. 💃✨

The Plan:
🗓️ Tomorrow (Saturday) ⏰ 8:30 AM 🚫 Sunday: No Class!

Grab your water, bring that Saturday energy, and let’s start the weekend with a win. I’ll see you on the floor!
