FAA Meeting - January 14th 7PM at Boyden Library

with Demo by Katherine Ann Mahoney

Katherine Ann Mahoney is a local Foxboro artist who's inspiration comes from her two daughters and scenes from everyday life and travel. Her process of creating soft pastel art involves an unhurried observation of the subject. Through her process, every detail: form, light, shadow, color, tone, texture, and composition are studied and then translated to convey the mood and feeling of the subject to the viewer.

Katherine will be bringing a work-in-progress to demonstrate her technique for using pastels to bring landscapes to life.

Cranberry Bog Paint Out

TOMORROW - SATURDAY OCTOBER18TH

9 AM TO NOON
It’s going to be a beautiful day to Paint! Join us for the Paint Out at the cranberry bog behind the Bass Pro Shop at Patriot Place tomorrow, Saturday the 18th!

While we are painting, Ocean Spray will be harvesting the cranberries. The cranberries will come to the surface of the bog and create a very different landscape.

We will meet at the bog at 8:45am. Park behind the Bass Pro Shop in the parking lot on the right side. There is a small road to the right of the Bass Pro Shop that brings you out back. Then on foot there is a pathway that brings you over the wooden boardwalk to another dirt path that will take you to the bog. We can set up just inside the fence along the bog or anyplace you can find that is out of the way of the Ocean Spray crew and off the pedestrian parkway.

There will be a lot of families and a lot of activity along the bog to watch Ocean Spray harvest the cranberries.

Even if you don’t want to paint, come on down to say hello and check out the harvesting.

Reach out to Jack at [email protected] to let him know you will be attending
