DRESSERS NEEDED – THE CHER SHOW - Emerald City Theatrical

Emerald City Theatrical LLC is seeking to hire 5 experienced and reliable Dressers to join the wardrobe team for this special engagement.

Our production will feature over 350 of the Original Broadway Bob Mackie Costumes

Position Details

* Position: Dresser
* Pay: $200 Flat Stipend
* Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
* Commitment:
* 3 Dress Rehearsals
* 8 Performances

Schedule

* First Dress Rehearsal Begins: August 18
* Performance Dates: August 21–30

Performance Times

* Friday & Saturday Evenings – 7:00 PM
* Saturday Matinees – 1:00 PM
* Sunday Matinees – 1:00 PM

Venue

Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center

Responsibilities

* Assisting performers with costume changes backstage
* Maintaining costume organization and care during performances
* Supporting quick changes in a fast-paced theatrical environment
* Handling original Broadway costume pieces with professionalism and care

Ideal Candidates

* Comfortable working backstage in a live theater environment
* Organized, dependable, and able to work efficiently under pressure
* Previous wardrobe or backstage experience preferred

* Appreciation for costume preservation and professional theater standards

✨Overhire Costume Shop Assistant – Emerald City Theatrical ✨

Emerald City Theatrical is seeking dependable overhire crew members to assist in our costume shop and warehouse operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, organization, and working in a fast-paced theatrical environment.

Responsibilities

* Organizing and maintaining costume stock
* Sorting, tagging, and properly storing costumes and accessories
* Lifting and moving costume racks, bins, and boxes
* Assisting with cleaning and upkeep of the costume shop and storage areas
* Helping maintain inventory organization and workflow
* General shop assistance as needed during rentals, returns, and production prep

Requirements

* Comfortable with physical work and lifting costume racks/boxes
* Ability to stay organized and work efficiently
* Reliable transportation and punctuality
* Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
* Theatre or costume experience is a plus, but not required

Position Details

* Overhire / as-needed basis
* $17/hour (1099 contractor position)
* Flexible hours depending on production and rental schedule
* Located in Rhode Island
