🧀 SEASON UPDATE: We’ve Got Some Gouda News! 🧀
With rehearsals now underway for our Fall 2026 production of Mary Poppins, taking the stage November 20–22, 2026, we wanted to take a moment to share an important update about the second half of our 2026–2027 season.
Last spring, we announced that our Spring 2027 production would be These Shining Lives. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to move that production to a future season. We are currently hoping to bring These Shining Lives to the stage during our 2027–2028 season.
But don’t worry... we aren’t leaving a hole in our season. We’ve found something to fill it, and it’s a little cheesy. Okay... maybe a LOT cheesy.
🧀 Fowlerville Community Theatre is excited to announce that our Spring 2027 production will now be:
The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales
by John Glore
Based on the book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith
Directed by Brandon Johnson, this show will be presented as a family dinner theatre production!
And when we say family production, we mean it! Auditions will be open to actors ages 4 and up, including adults. We’re excited to bring performers of all ages together for this wonderfully weird and very cheesy show.
The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales takes the classic stories you thought you knew and completely turns them upside down. Chicken Little, The Gingerbread Man, giants, barnyard animals and more all get hilariously derailed in this wild adaptation of the beloved children’s book.
With silly characters, witty narration, fun music, colossal cow pies and enough stinky cheese to go around, this is one production that definitely won’t be too mature for the little ones... but may be a little too ripe. 🧀
More details will be coming soon, so stay tuned. We think Spring 2027 is shaping up to be pretty grate!
THE STINKY CHEESE MAN AND OTHER FAIRLY STUPID TALES is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals onbehalf of Playscripts.
