She lives in a small town in England, After she lost her steady job at a café, she tries her best to find a new job due to her worrisome family's financial situation. Until she got work as a care worker for a man who is wheelchair-bound after an accident, Will Traynor.
Will turns to be a moody and bossy person after he has been seriously injured in an accident. This makes Will and Lou could not get along well at the first meet.
Eventually, these two start to connect, sharing jokes and treating one another with straightforward honesty.
Will encourages her to explore the world what she interests in while Lou shows Will that life is worth living.
