anyone interested in a December - Jan trip to China and after that, Thailand? not looking for a partner, just casual international or US friends who have the same interest in solo travelling to the same locations on the same dates, or any part of that trip. each pays his / her own way, separate rooms, except i'll be glad to treat on street food.

a little bit about me - this is a pic i just took on my laptop camera. i'm single, early 70s but look perhaps a bit younger, at least in my mind. i'm not particular about your age, just having the same travelling interests - 2nd class / economy planes, trains and public transit - learning Chinese language and customs - eating interesting foods, watching live celebrations - technology - photos and videos at beautiful locations.

rather than do this on my own, i would feel better not sitting alone to eat at tables, having more conversations than just asking questions to service workers. i feel better about sharing rides and long walks and waitings.

i have created an itinerary from Dec 16 - Jan 7: from Los Angeles, fly to Hong Kong, take a bullet train to Shenzhen to celebrate Christmas. within that time, take another short train to visit Guangzhou. Dec 26, leave China to go back to Hong Kong. fly to Bangkok to celebrate New Years. take a bus to Pattaya. Dec 7 return to Bangkok to fly home to Los Angeles
