**RULES CLARIFICATION**

A request has been received to clarify the tire rule in section 3 of our rules. Below is the published version of the rule. For the remainder of the year, we will adhere to the following adjustments and clarifications:

3.2.1 Hoosier D-Series Tires Only
3.2.2 Right Rear Tire Must Be D50 or D55

No other changes will be made to this section.

We acknowledge that there is another Hoosier option available. However, we do not wish to permit its use without further review, testing, and assessment. We appreciate your understanding.

We have made the unfortunate decision to cancel for the weekend. With rain chances increasing for tonight and continued precipitation expected for tomorrow, we want to save everyone the time and money and cancel now. We look forward to trying to race again Friday, August 21st. We will not reschedule the Storm Chaser Shootout as the remaining weekends have conflicts on Saturday's.

Lightning Speedway is excited to announce that we’re adding a 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟔 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 for the 2027 season!

This will be a new class designed to give young racers another opportunity to develop their skills, compete, and keep progressing at Lightning Speedway.

The final class structure is still being developed. Age ranges and rules for tires, clutch, weight, slide, and other details will be finalized after testing and collaboration with racers and track officials.
