We are heartbroken to learn the news that beloved songwriter and singer, Dolly Parton, has passed away at the age of 80. While she will always be known as a phenomenal musician, to the book community, Dolly was an exceptional advocate for literacy. Her Imagination Library has donated over 300 million books to children under the age of 5 across the globe. She created the Imagination Library in honor of her father who could not read or write, but was the smartest man she knew. So to us, she will always be "The Book Lady." We will always love you, Dolly. ♥

We join the world in mourning the loss of Dolly Parton. ❤️ The release of her 1980 song, “9 to 5”— continues to resonate with American workers to this day.

Does anybody remember when we did production of “9 to 5”?

The Fountain City River Players has been selected as a new nonprofit volunteer partner for Ashley for the Arts!

Every volunteer shift completed through our organization earns a $50 donation to help support the return of community theatre in Fountain City.

If you’re already planning to attend Ashley for the Arts, why not volunteer for a shift? It’s a fun way to experience one of Wisconsin’s premier music and arts festivals while helping fund future productions right here in Fountain City.

Volunteers ages 12 and up can choose from a variety of tasks and shifts, so there’s something for everyone.
