Auditions for Swamp Meadow Community Theatre’s production of Midsummer’s Nights Dream will be held this week on May 14th, 16th & 18th

Audition Locations and Times:

Thurs May 14th: : 6:00pm-9:00pm: Woody Lowden Recreation Center – 16 Howard Hill Rd. Foster, RI
Mon May 18th: 6:00pm-9:00pm: Woody Lowden Recreation Center – 16 Howard Hill Rd. Foster, RI
Sat May 16th 11:00am-2:00pm: Greenville Public Library Recital Room – 573 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI (Downstairs)

Participants must be 16+ to Audition

Please complete the audition form to select your audition day. Participants should plan to stay for the full duration of their scheduled audition and may leave once they have finished. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to allow time for any unexpected delays.

Fifty years of JAWS; six performances! 🦈

Don't miss Swamp Meadow Community Theatre's production of THE SHARK IS BROKEN, the story of the making of a blockbuster film. When the mechanical shark malfunctions on set, the three lead actors delve into the nature of film and human creativity. Movie buffs and theatre lovers alike will enjoy this play.

During the long and arduous production of the movie Jaws, the mechanical shark malfunctions on set. While waiting, the three lead actors Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, and Roy Schneider are forced to explore their inner struggles, boredom, and frustrations towards each other. The intense conversations that follow delve into what it takes to make a film and be human.
