In the late 1700s, Franz Mesmer performed staged spectacles he called “mesmerism” and “animal magnetism,” captivating audiences with what seemed like a mysterious force of influence.
In 1841, James Braid, a medically trained surgeon, became intrigued by the altered state of consciousness he witnessed at a public demonstration. Braid went on to coin the word “Hypnosis” and, in 1843, published the first scientific study of the phenomenon—helping shift it from curiosity to credible practice.
Today, stage Hypnosis is experiencing a strong revival as a popular form of entertainment.
Even part-time performers can add a solid five-figure income each year by doing just a handful of shows.
Stage Hypnosis demonstrations introduce the masses to Hypnosis, whether through a comedy show or to build interest in a clinical practice. Doing it well requires far more than just knowing an induction.
That’s where Stage Hypnosis Bootcamp comes in.
Our focus is on developing you as an entertaining presenter. We guide you through all the subtle details—from how to properly use a microphone, run a simple sound system, present yourself on stage, and command attention. You’ll learn the nuances of entering the stage, doing a pre-talk, induction, and how to design routines that flow together like a Broadway production.
