🎮 1UP Games Renovation Update! 🎮

As many of you are probably aware, 1UP Games is temporarily closed for a remodel and refresh of the store.

And let us tell you… it is really strange seeing the shop like this! 😂

We’re so used to seeing every wall, shelf, and available space absolutely stuffed with games, consoles, accessories, and all kinds of gaming goodness that seeing a completely bare wall feels almost unnatural!

But don’t worry — we’re still here and we’re working away! 💪

We have a lot of things in the works, including some exciting changes that will allow us to offer even more inventory when we reopen.

We’re working diligently to get everything finished and get the doors back open so we can continue providing you with the excellent service you’ve come to know and love. ❤️

A quick reminder: We are still buying and selling specific items during the renovation. Unfortunately, in-store browsing is not available while the remodeling is underway. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding!

If you have something you’d like to buy or sell, please call or text us at (272) 301-2828.

We’ll continue to share updates and sneak peeks along the way, so stay tuned!

Please help us make sure EVERYONE knows that we’re still here by liking and sharing this post. It really helps us reach people who may not have seen our previous updates!

Thank you! We’ll be back before you know it. 🎮

🚧 1Up Games is Getting an Upgrade! 🚧

To better serve our customers, 1Up Games will be temporarily closed while we renovate/remodel the store. We're making some exciting changes and can't wait to welcome everyone back with a fresh new look and an even better shopping experience!

At this time, we don't have an exact reopening date. Rather than rush the project, we're taking the time to do it right. We'll keep everyone updated and announce our grand reopening as soon as we have a date.

Good news: We're still buying video games, consoles, accessories, and collectibles during the remodel! Just call or text us at: 272-301-2828

We're also still selling if you're looking for a specific item. Just send us a message here on Facebook or give us a call or text at:

(272) 301-2828

and if we have what you're looking for, we'll be happy to arrange a pickup.

Please note: There is no in-store browsing while construction is underway.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. We truly appreciate our amazing customers and can't wait to show you what's coming. We promise it'll be worth the wait!

Stay tuned for progress updates!

We sincerely apologize, but 1Up Games will be closed again this weekend as we head to the Pennsylvania State Championships to cheer on David and his 19 teammates who also qualified for this incredible event! 🏊‍♂️

We are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication, and we sincerely thank you for your understanding as we cheer them on for this big moment. This is the next step in what they have trained so hard for all year!

🎮 1Up Games Needs Your Help! 🎮

We’re trying to track down more of these old school Blockbuster shelving units like the ones pictured in this post. The one pictured is actual 5 units. They were used to store VHS tapes and DVDs in Blockbuster stores back in the day.

As luck would have it they are perfect for storing just about all types of video games from NES cartridges to all disc based games in their cases.

These shelves are a huge part of the behind the scenes workings of 1Up Games as we use them to keep back-stock organized. Now that these are stuffed to the brim we have stacks upon stack of games that desperately need a home to be organized and at the ready. We would absolutely love to add another one (or a few more) if we can find them.

So we’re turning to the 1Up Games community for help!

👉 If you, a friend, a family member, or a business you know might have one of these shelves sitting in storage, a basement, a garage, or an old store space, please let us know.

We would definitely be interested in buying one or possibly even working out a trade.

💬 Tag someone who might know where one is.
🔄 Share this post so we can reach more people.

You guys have helped us track down some amazing things in the past, and we truly appreciate the support from the 1Up Games family.

Thank you for helping us keep the nostalgia alive!

We are open today (Sunday) until 6pm

We pay CA$H for games, consoles, accessories and collectibles! Trades are always welcome!

🎮 Collector Question… 🎮

How often do you actually see one of these IRL (in real life) still factory sealed?

We just got something in at 1Up Games that most collectors only ever see in photos…

A factory sealed Nintendo Game Boy Micro – 20th Anniversary Edition. Brand new. Never opened.

For anyone unfamiliar with why this is such a big deal:

The Game Boy Micro launched very late in the Game Boy Advance era and unfortunately sold very poorly when it released. Because of that, Nintendo produced far fewer units than most of their handhelds.

The 20th Anniversary Edition was a special release celebrating Nintendo’s handheld history, making it one of the most desirable versions of the Micro.

Fast forward two decades… most Game Boy Micro systems were opened and played, which means finding one still factory sealed today is incredibly rare.

This is the kind of piece that serious collectors wait years to see in person.

💬 Collectors — have you ever seen one of these still sealed? Excluding of course when they were in stores 20 years ago!

📍 Available now at 1Up Games

Open today (Sunday) 12pm until 6pm

We pay CA$H for games, consoles, accessories and collectibles! Trades are always welcome!

Sorry for the delay in posting — it’s been a long, exhausting week. But I’m going to do my best to get back to posting consistently again.

This past weekend David wrapped up his 3rd (and final) District Championship and as a dad I couldn’t be more proud of the work he’s put in all season.

Here’s how he finished in his individual events:

🥇 100 Yard Breaststroke — 1st Place
⏱ 1:01.21 (+0.67)

🥇 400 Yard Individual Medley — 1st Place
⏱ 4:27.16 (dropped 3.53 seconds)

🏅 100 Yard Butterfly — 4th Place
⏱ 55.73 (+1.42)

🥈 200 Yard Individual Medley — 2nd Place
⏱ 2:00.98 (dropped 6.46 seconds)

🥇 200 Yard Breaststroke — 1st Place
⏱ 2:19.31 (+2.46)

Swimming, like most activities, is a sport where the results only tell part of the story. What most people don’t see are the early mornings, the late practices, the endless laps, and the commitment it takes day after day.

I want to congratulate David, his teammates, and every single swimmer who competed at Districts this year. The dedication it takes just to qualify for this meet is an achievement in itself, and every athlete there earned their place.

Next up… the 2026 Pennsylvania State Championship.

Time to get back to work. 💪🏊‍♂️

And for our friends and customers — 1Up Games will be open our normal business hours all weekend! Stop in, say hello, and scoop up some new games while you’re here. 🎮

If you see David around, make sure to wish him luck at States!
