This one feels a little more personal. 🌿
This old oval frame has been sitting in my basement for years, waiting for me to decide what to do with it. It was in desperate need of repair, a little battered and forgotten, but still far too beautiful to give up on.
And somehow, after the past few weeks and some of my own battles with mental health, these words felt like exactly what belonged inside it:
“Even here, something beautiful can begin.”
So I repaired the frame, gave it a soft Rosewater background, added the words in deep espresso, and built a little garden around them from dried and preserved flowers.
There’s something about taking something that has been damaged, neglected, or simply waiting in the dark and giving it another life that feels particularly meaningful to me right now.
Maybe “even here” doesn’t mean everything is suddenly okay. Maybe it just means that wherever here happens to be, something beautiful is still allowed to begin. 🤎🌿
And on a much less poetic note, photographing a domed-glass frame may actually be impossible. 😂 I promise it’s even prettier without the reflections.
