Public Service Announcement;

The Fortville "IT" House is a private residence.

Folks, this is my home. It may appear vacant or abandoned, but I assure you It's not. A few days ago two random strangers opened my front door and walked inside my home. Didn't knock..... didn't call out to ask if anyone was there, they simply walked in like it was OK. Thankfully I was home and they didn't get too far before they scurried away as I was screaming at them.

This behavior is absolutely unacceptable and quite frankly its not the first time this has occurred. Hence, the reason for this PSA.

My home has become a local attraction. I fully accept that people will hang around outside and take pictures or peer into the front porch or side windows (this is why I don't use the front room of the home) I don't even mind when I hear loud drunk people at 1-3 am doing photo shoots on my front porch with the decorations, but I draw the line with people entering my home without permission or consent.

One day this house will be more than my home. But until then please respect my privacy and do not attempt to open my doors.

P.S. I'll not be making a police report as they did not have ill intent.. I'm not going to reveal their names (I did uncover their identities) or provide their pictures. Will simply install more surveillance cameras with a few more safety measures and signage for future deterrent.

Life has gotten in the way of my decorating this house for Halloween this year. I'm hopeful to have more time soon to get more things out for display.

All is not lost though, if you can be patient with us through this year, I can assure you that our plans for next year will be worth waiting for.
