Here's another one of my garments, a cowl titled "Shawl Be Loved" which is primarily made with alpaca. There's also some merino wool and a bit of cashmere in there too! It drapes and bounces. the petals come down in the front here, with two more of the smaller ones across the back.

I love the netted stitching and it's so straightforward with a repeated series of chains and single crochet. This is a piece from 2018. I'm finally planning on re-working this in another colorway and writing this one down. It's a part of my long-term project, Fruits of the Spirit, a 9 garment pattern collection. Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, and Discipline.

Been working out different motifs. This is one of my favorites made in DK weight Frog Tree alpaca. I miss Frog Tree yarn and have guarded my dwindling stash of it ever since it stopped being produced. I still have some Frog Tree that I use when it's the RIGHT project for such treasured yarn. The other yarn I miss is Liberty Wool and those shifting colorways. I've yet to find a yarn quite like it.

Artists working in fiber and textile are increasingly visible at art fairs, museums and galleries, and there's no sign of a slowdown.

Meet the Turnip King! He's a rotten loud-mouth making the carrots and tomatoes nervous. All while the potato takes a nap. Made this digital illustration February 2024.

My husband and I are off to the Farmer's Market in Fortuna! The plan is to get lots of veggies for stew, and pepper, cilantro, and parsely plants for a small summer garden.

This is Mr Biggs, the origin of the studio name The Artistic Hare! He was a gorgeous 18 lb Flemish Giant house bunny and such a sweetheart. I miss him even all these years later. He was litter trained and would hang out in my studio space under my easel. It's why my husband started calling him the Artistic Hare. I'd been looking for a studio name or artistic moniker and the Artistic Hare just fit. I've always said if I were to be an animal it would be a Flemish Giant rabbit.

Meet the "Cantini the Cat Genie" which is one of my husband's favorite illustrations of mine. This piece is acrylic on canvas 24"x30" from 2011. I've been looking through my art from past years. Shaun likes this piece so much. He has been recently telling me I should "bring back the Cantini" so we'll see! I Painted the Cantini the same year my husband and I married. 🥰
