Classes begin next week! We can’t wait to welcome our dancers back for our second season at Dance With Joy. Spots are limited, but we still have availability in the following classes:

CREATIVE BALLET 1
Wednesdays | Ages 1–2
9:30–10:00 AM | Parent & Me

PRE BALLET 3
Thursdays | Ages 3–3.5
10:45–11:30 AM | Eventual drop-off

BALLET/JAZZ
Wednesdays | Ages 3–5
10:15–11:00 AM | Drop-off

Saturdays | Ages 4–6
11:30 AM–12:15 PM | Drop-off

ADAPTIVE DANCE
Mondays | Ages 3–7
3:30–4:00 PM | Parent & Me

BALLET 1

Musical Theatre + Private Voice Lessons on Thursdays!

Meet Ms. Lauran 🎤

We are so excited to have Lauran Kinard joining Dance With Joy as our Thursday Musical Theatre & Vocal Coach.

Born and raised in DFW, Lauran is an accomplished singer, actress, vocal coach, music director, worship leader, and teaching artist, and a proud wife and mom of two! She has eight years of experience teaching and working with students of all ages.

Most recently, Lauran performed as Jenna Coates in May We All, Anya in Anastasia, and Lily St. Regis in Annie, and music directed Hadestown. She also lent her voice as a professional studio singer on three recording projects this year!

Lauran currently serves as Associate Worship Leader & Coordinator at Antioch Fort Worth and continues to coach students in voice and acting.

With training spanning Broadway, gospel/CCM, pop/rock, and classical music, Lauran loves helping students discover their unique voice, build confidence, and grow as performers.

And a special little connection—Lauran and I first performed together years ago in The Music Man! ❤️ I’m so excited to have her now sharing her talent with the next generation at Dance With Joy.

Registration for the Benbrook classes is required through the library.

I started this studio with one simple dream: to create a place where every child feels welcomed, encouraged, and loved. A place where they can sing, dance, act, grow in confidence, and truly experience the joy of performing.

✨ NEW TEACHER + OPENINGS IN BROADWAY DANCE!

🎭Our Tuesday Broadway Dance class has a few spots available! This high-energy class combines jazz technique with Broadway-inspired music and choreography. If your child loves to dance, perform, and build confidence on stage, we’d love to have them join us this fall!

We’re also thrilled to welcome Ms. Calista to the Dance With Joy family! 💛 Beginning this fall, Ms. Calista will be leading our Tuesday afternoon classes, bringing incredible energy, elevated choreography, and a wealth of experience to our dancers. We know our students are going to love learning from her!

Meet Ms. Calista:

Calista Gonzalez is a recent graduate of Texas Christian University, where she earned her degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has trained in dance for many years and has had the opportunity to perform collegiately and professionally as a member of the TCU Elite Dance Team, the Dallas Wings Flight Crew, and the Panther City Lacrosse Dance Team. Calista is trained in jazz, pom, hip hop, contemporary, and game-day performance.

Along with her performance experience, Calista is passionate about teaching and mentoring young dancers. She loves creating a positive, encouraging classroom where dancers can build confidence, develop strong technique, and discover the joy of performing. She is excited to share her love of dance with each student and looks forward to a wonderful season!

The first day of fairy training is complete! 🧚✨

Today we discovered that being a fairy is about so much more than wings and wands. We danced, created, imagined, and learned that the greatest fairy magic comes from kindness, courage, and believing in yourself. I can’t wait for tomorrow’s adventures! 🌸💚

This book is my heart. 💛

I wrote it because I believe no child should ever be defined by a box or a label. Every child learns, grows, and shines in their own unique way, and every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

That same belief is at the heart of Dance With Joy. My greatest desire is to cultivate a love of the arts in a nurturing, supportive community where children feel free to create, grow, and simply be themselves.
