I made cicada wing earrings for DAYYYSSS for Arts Goggle... I was surprised how many people were let down that I didn’t have a ‘whole’ cicada. 😅 Guess I know what my next earring/drawing will be. 😏

A bunch of cities in our area have Grapevine Rocks, Keller Rocks, etc. facebook groups. Parents paint with their sweet babes and hide them at local parks and post them. I think it’s a really cute idea to get kids involved with the community aspect of art. My sweet cousin asked if I would paint a rock... of course I said YES!!

Bythos (Sea-Depths) and Aphros (Sea-Foam) were a pair of centaurine sea-gods (Ichthyocentaurs) with the upper bodies of men, the lower fore-quarters of horses, and the serpentine tails of fish. Their brows were crowned with a pair of lobster-claw horns.
Often regarded as wise teachers, the sea-centaurs were probably derived from the Fish-Deities of Syrian mythology which carried Ashtarte ashore after her birth. They were then placed among the stars as the constellation Pisces. The twin ichthyocentaurs appear together in several works of art depicting the birth of Aphrodite, who are lifting the goddess' cockle-shell out of the sea.
