Y’all… one thing I’m always going to do is create spaces where young people feel seen, confident, creative, and empowered through the arts. 🥹🎭

Watching students walk into our programs shy, uncertain, or disconnected… and leave bold, expressive, disciplined, and confident honestly never gets old. ❤️

So I’m SUPER excited that scholarship spots are still available for our Kids Acting With Purpose summer programs through Maroon 9 Community Enrichment Organization — but spots are filling FAST. 👏🏾✨

Some days being a nonprofit Executive Director feels heavy.
Worrying about funding. Program quality. Staff. Families. Outcomes. Payroll. Emails. Meetings. Balancing the work with being present at home. Carrying the vision while trying not to burn out. It’s a daily weight that a lot of people never really see.

And then… moments like this happen. ❤️
I get updates from participants who just completed their freshman year at college or are graduating, earning scholarships, finding their purpose, and stepping boldly into their next chapter. And suddenly every late night, every sacrifice, every hard conversation, every tear feels worth it.

Today I’m crying happy tears because THIS is the impact. This is why we do the work.

This is bigger than performances. Bigger than applause. Bigger than programs.

It’s about helping young people believe they can dream beyond their circumstances and walk confidently into purpose. 🖤✨

To every educator, mentor, teaching artist, nonprofit leader, and parent pouring into young people while quietly carrying the weight behind the scenes — keep going. The seeds are growing, even on the days you can’t see it. 🌱

Flashback to 2023 ✨

Watching this takes me back to our Conflict Resolution Through Theatre program at Mitchell Boulevard Elementary—and reminds me why I’m so committed to this work.

I’ve seen how theater creates space for young people to process real-life challenges, find their voice, and build understanding in ways that traditional approaches often miss.

This is bigger than performance. It’s about equipping our youth with the tools to lead, communicate, and move through the world with confidence and empathy.

That’s the power of the arts 🎬

When you lead with passion and purpose, the support speaks for itself.

Building connections, inspiring confidence, and creating a space where everyone feels seen that's what it's all about.🎭

The love I receive reflects the love I give.

Thankful for the love from my students, families, and community. ✨

Now casting ADULT performers for a new project. 🎭✨
So many people have been asking me… “When are you going to create something for adults?”

Well—it’s here.

We’re launching our Theatre for Change Ensemble, and I’m looking for aspiring and seasoned actors, singers, and dancers who want to use their talent for something bigger.

This isn’t just about performing… it’s about impacting young people, telling real stories, and being part of something that matters.

If that speaks to you, I’d love for you to audition and be part of this next chapter with us.

🎭✨ Talent grows where purpose lives. ✨🎭

At Kids Acting With Purpose, I don’t just teach students how to act. I help them learn how to lead, collaborate, and believe in themselves.
This space is about more than lines and lights. It’s about purpose, growth, and creating an environment where every student feels seen, supported, and capable.

➡️Follow along to see more student journeys, growth moments, and the purpose behind the process 🎭✨
