There’s something special about getting to experience traditions and cultures different from your own. 🇲🇽📸 The Catrina Festival was full of history, meaning, art, and traditions that go far beyond what you see in a photograph.

I left feeling a little more cultured, with a greater appreciation for the stories and traditions behind it all. And getting to capture moments like this along the way makes it even better.

I still remember taking this picture of the giraffe with my Rebel T7 a few years ago. 🦒

Looking back at this and some of the photos I’ve taken of Ella since then, it reminds me how much there is to love about the journey. You learn, you grow, and you get a little better along the way.

But don’t forget to enjoy where you are right now, too. Be kind to yourself, appreciate the little moments, and give yourself some credit.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just keep going. 📸
