I'm actually done with cons for 2023 so I guess it's time for my cosplay year in review! As it turns out I only made two cosplays this year π«’ I did supplement that with a handful of purchased stuff (plus some new lo**ta dresses lol) as well as a lot of re-wearing things. I am so blessed I got the opportunity to judge and guest at a handful of cons this year as well, and I want to send a huge shoutout to any coordinator/staff that had me be part of their events!
I'm sad to have missed Anime Frontier this year because I was so excited for it and it really is a great con, but I'm hoping I can come back next year and return to the contest! This little break at the end of this year has been nice for me, though, since I'm starting 2024 off strong as a guest at here in Waco in January! I will have a table with some fun stuff for sale as well as my prints as usual~ if you aren't going to IkkiCon that weekend, feel free to come visit me!
Back to this year, I am still super proud of how Retsuko turned out! She is easily one of my favorite cosplays, both comfortable and poofy and adorable~ she really helped me become more comfortable with patterning, and especially being on stage! There are things I would have changed about my performance at A-Kon looking back at it now, but I'm glad everyone still loved it! The only other cosplay I made from scratch was Meryl, but I'm glad I finally got around to making her after discussing the plan with Axel for months π pardon the back of camera preview there, you will have some fire photos of her soon π
All-in-all, I'm super excited for my plans for next year! I already have materials in waitlists and carts, and plenty of cons, old AND new, on the docket! Thank you all for your continued support of my work, and I hope you continue to enjoy what I have to share!
