We are proud to announce the winners of the PianoTexas International Concerto Competition - Young Artists Division.

Over two remarkable days, an exceptional jury — HaeSun Paik, Andrey Ponochevny, and Vitaly Starikov — heard full concerto performances and deliberated with great care. Three artists rose to the top:

Xuanxiang Wu | Brahms Concerto No. 2
Attila Szaniszló | Liszt Concerto No. 1
Shan Jiang | Rachmaninoff Concerto No. 2

This Sunday, June 14 at 5 PM, they take the stage together at The Van Cliburn Concert Hall with the Fort Worth Symphony conducted by Maestro Peter Bay, in a program that represents the pinnacle of the Romantic piano repertoire. Not to be missed.

Guest Artist Update:

Due to personal reasons, Professor Xiaohan Wang is unfortunately unable to join us this summer. We are grateful to Professor Fabio Bidini of the Colburn School for graciously agreeing to join the PianoTexas faculty.

We look forward to welcoming Professor Bidini and are excited for the inspiration and artistry he will bring to this year's festival!

Italian pianist Fabio Bidini ranks among his generation's finest. He has appeared with the London Symphony at the Barbican, the Philharmonia Orchestra at Royal Festival Hall, and the San Francisco, Dallas, St. Louis, and Fort Worth symphonies, collaborating with conductors including Michael Tilson Thomas, Iván Fischer, JoAnn Falletta, and Gianandrea Noseda.
A sought-after chamber musician, he is pianist of the acclaimed Los Angeles Piano Trio and has performed at festivals across Europe, from La Roque d'Anthéron to Spoleto's Festival dei Due Mondi.
A top-prize winner in eleven Italian and eight international competitions—including the Van Cliburn and Busoni—Bidini was named the first Carol Grigor Piano Chair at Los Angeles's Colburn School in 2015. He has recorded thirteen CDs and is a Steinway artist.
