Join us in wishing our inspiring Artistic Director, Chung Lin Tseng, a very Happy Birthday! Thank you for leading Ballet Frontier with creativity, passion, and purpose. Here’s to another wonderful year of artistry, inspiration, and unforgettable moments!

Chung-Lin Tseng: Artistic Director
Taiwan-born Chung-Lin Tseng began his artistic career as a figure skater, winning gold in the 1984 Taiwan National Championship. He later trained on full scholarship at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he studied classical ballet and partnering. He went on to dance as a soloist with Universal Ballet Company in Seoul, performing internationally in over 100 cities across 16 countries and creating notable roles in Swan Lake, Giselle, and Shim Chung.

In 1998, Tseng joined Fort Worth Dallas Ballet (now Texas Ballet Theater) as a principal dancer, performing leading roles in both classical and Balanchine works. He also began choreographing, with his works recognized among the “Ten Best Performing Events” by the Star-Telegram in 2002. Tseng has staged full-length productions internationally, taught at Southern Methodist University and Texas Christian University, and served as Ballet Teacher for Dallas Black Dance Theatre.

As founder and Artistic Director of Ballet Frontier of Texas, Tseng has created acclaimed productions including The Nutcracker, Pinocchio, Romeo and Juliet, and a new Carmen for the University of Utah. His choreography continues to earn recognition both nationally and internationally.
