“Blessed is he who plants trees under whose shade he will never sit.”

We’re surrounded by ephemera; it flows around us like water in a river. I think it’s natural to create, and to make something as good as you can make it. The common trope is that “you can’t take it with you”—but it’s never been about taking it with me. It’s about leaving something behind that might actually be worth holding onto…a song of love, or a wild howl, that haunts and enchants long after you are gone.
