NEXT THURSDAY!
Our good friend .angievo is giving a lecture on digital detoxing, you don’t wanna miss it!

In this workshop, Dr. Angie Vo will be touching on concepts of mass surveillance, technofascism, and cybersecurity for us to lay a critical media theory foundation. Then, we will do some cybersecurity housekeeping and look at some phone settings/app changes we can make to protect our data. Come with us as we learn and gain tools to take care of ourselves digitally!

This is a FREE EVENT, please RSVP at the link in our bio 🌀

Dallas photographer Ricardo Rosales’s latest body of work is a retrospection of a distant core memory from his childhood. Drawing from his upbringing in a Mexican household where he was surrounded by women whose hair flowed down their backs, Ricardo returns to the quiet act of combing his mother’s hair as a recurring gesture in his compositions.

Through considered art direction, repetition, and sequencing, Ricardo revisits this experience as both subject and process. Hair, the comb, and the act of tending become recurring forms. It’s less about documentation and more about working through the gesture itself. Combing is no longer just an action being depicted; it becomes a way of thinking, a way of working through care, and attention.

Created in collaboration with who’s garments and fiber work are featured throughout the work.

Momento X Point of View drink pairings 🌀☕️

•Steak Zine is 208 pages of fiction and non-fiction exploring the cultural impacts of red meat. In this zine, steak is described as being “rife with tradition and reinvention” which we think encapsulates the macchiato just as well!

•Afternoon Hours of a Hermit is a thrilling neo-noir novel about a man who receives a mysterious envelope including a picture of his deceased brother. We think drip is the perfect, detective-like beverage to sip on while reading the main character’s investigation into who could have sent him such a letter and why?

•Casa Utsuwa highlights Nigo’s devotion through the last decade to the art of the tea bowl. Learning how to shape and fire tea bowls as both a collector and creator, this mag naturally pairs with our classic, Japan sourced, Sencha green tea.

•Gunk, an unexpected and explorative debut, peeks into the life of bartender Jules, her ex husband of five years and owner of the bar Leon, and 18 year old new-hire Nim who find themselves in hot water when Nim falls pregnant. Bold and refreshing, Gunk and our espresso tonic are a great pairing when you need to shake up your regular routine.
