Art has a way of carrying stories forward.

In 2021, local artist Caya Crum created the only permanent artwork at The Pool: a reimagined version of the iconic Massey’s sign that stood above the restaurant on 8th Avenue for decades, before the site was redeveloped as Everly Plaza .

Now, artist-in-residence Jayaspart has created the first artistic homage to Crum’s piece as part of his exhibition Sizable Cloud. This multimedia work fits beautifully within the themes of Asp’s thoughtful series while also serving as a tribute to the gallery—and the history it holds.

If you missed the opening of Sizable Cloud last night, don’t panic! The gallery is open again today from 12:30 to 2 pm - we hope you will head to the Pool and discover how one piece of Fort Worth history has inspired another. Trust us when we say - these photos do NOT do justice to viewing these pieces in person.

ONE WEEKEND ONLY! Don't miss this showcase from ten local artists as they explore the concept of "failure" through their artwork.

Co-Curators Sarah Angle and Jocelyn Foster hope people walk away from the show embracing what some call “failure.” Talking openly about those failures creates connection in a culture that often profits from people feeling unworthy or inadequate and rewards productivity over joy, happiness, and health.
