We’re not just creating better dancers. We’re creating a better dance community.

Ritmo Yá was never meant to be just about dance. ❤️‍🔥

It was inspired by what happens when rhythm brings people together—different people, different cultures, different backgrounds, all sharing the same floor and experiencing something vibrant together.

Latin culture has an incredible way of celebrating its history, passion, joy, and community through dance. There’s an infectious energy to it—one that gives people permission to let go, be themselves, connect with someone new, and simply enjoy being in the moment.

That feeling is at the heart of Ritmo Yá.

From classrooms to the streets. From The Landing to studios. From social dances and community events to private lessons and one-on-one sessions. Through our partnerships, sponsorships, donations, collaborations, and the time we give back to the community—we want Ritmo Yá to go wherever the rhythm can make a difference.

Because this has always been about more than teaching steps.

It’s about growing a community.

It’s about creating connection.

It’s about giving people a place to have fun, learn, laugh, dance, meet someone new, celebrate who they are, and feel like they belong.

There is a place for everyone at Ritmo Yá.

And when I look back at everything we’ve been able to experience and accomplish in just this year, it’s nothing short of amazing.

These moments are only a small glimpse of the story we’ve started writing together.

To every dancer, instructor, DJ, venue, business, volunteer, partner, supporter, friend, and person who has walked through our doors or stepped onto a dance floor with us—thank you.

Thank you for believing in what we’re building.

Thank you for helping this community grow.

And most importantly, thank you for letting the rhythm lead. ❤️‍🔥

This is Ritmo Yá.

It goes without saying that our incredible instructors and phenomenal performers at the Ritmo Yá Last Summer Sunset Social were AMAZING.

But I also want to give an enormous THANK YOU to every single person who showed up, stepped into those workshops, and chose to invest in their dance journey.

As an instructor, I understand that some of the material we bring to our community can be challenging. We want you to think. We want you to grow. We want you to step outside of what feels comfortable.

But I’m also a student.

I understand that thirst for knowledge—the feeling of wanting to learn more, try something different, challenge yourself, and discover what else you’re capable of.

And THAT is one of my favorite things to witness at Ritmo Yá.

Watching you encourage one another. Watching dancers try styles they’ve never experienced before. Watching beginners challenge themselves alongside experienced dancers. Watching people struggle with something, laugh about it, try again…and eventually GET IT. 🙌🏽

There is something exceptional about a community that isn’t afraid to push beyond average.

So thank you for trusting the process. Thank you for continuing to invest in yourselves. Thank you for supporting one another. And most importantly, thank you for giving every instructor, performer, DJ, and guest we bring into Fort Wayne such a warm welcome.

We can bring incredible talent into the room—but YOU are what gives the room its energy.

Keep learning. Keep exploring. Keep challenging yourself.
