Ecstatic Theatrics, Fort Wayne, Indiana

Ecstatic Theatrics, Fort Wayne, Indiana Jeannette Jaquish has over 40 scripts she has written, and 80, yes 80 tubs of costumes and props filling up two storage lockers.

Creative, rambunctious theater shows and activities for all ages continue in the Artistic Attic at TekVenture Makerspace's new Fort Wayne address: 1830 Wayne Trace, Door 8, 46803. See the scripts at www.theaterfunscripts.com. In early 2016, Jeannette directed Boy Scout Troop 460 doing "Harry Plotter and the Obnoxious Voice" as a fundraiser dinner theater. We did it in an interesting way, in a larg

e banquet hall at a church, with the various settings (The Durlseys, Gryffindor Common Room, House Elf Kitchen, etc.) located in different places in the room, so every audience member was close up for a scene. Every 3 scenes or so, the show paused and actors served the audience another course. They made some money on the event. See photos at www.ecstatic-theatrics.com. In summer of 2015 we did "Pinocchio", as a video production, then played at the libraries,

and before that Ecstatic Theatrics performed the same script: "Harry Potter and the Obnoxious Voice ~ The sssSPOOF!"
August 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, 2012
at the outdoor day camp bleachers at Franke Park, Fort Wayne, IN. Before starting Ecstatic Theatrics, Jeannette Jaquish ran the Firehouse Theater in Fort Wayne for 3.5 years, producing 78 shows/305 performances, until closing Feb. 2010. Since then she produced "Don't Look in the Lake" at Fright Night 2011, "The New Wizard of Oz Musical" at the University of St. Francis and the Main Library auditorium, "Harry Potter and the Obnoxious Voice ~ the sssPOOF!" at Franke Park, and a Christmas show at the Main Library in 2012. In 2013, Jeannette wrote and directed "Slipperzzzz! Cobb and the 12 Dancing Princesses" at Cinema Center. In 2014, she produced three plays at the Red Barn Theater in Tucson, AZ: "The New Musical Wizard of Oz", "You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore" and "Collecting All the Species".

Playing With Plays continues, every Saturday at 2pm, ( -- EXCEPT JAN 24, MY HUSBAND TOM WILL RUN THE WORKSHOP -- He has acted in many of my plays before), in January and February. At last week's we explored how to express curiousity, compassion and stunned horror in a sketch of Snow White eating an apple offered by some helpful but careless dwarves who are stunned when she appears to drop dead. Join us so we can do scenes with more actors! See updates at www.tekventure.org/attic . This is good practice if you want to audition for "Who Framed Lucky the Leprechaun?" Feb. 7, 8, 14 & 15.

Exercise your theatrical skills at "Playing With Plays" in January with regular Saturday, 2pm, creative explorations of 2 to 5 minute moments in scripts. All ages are welcome. Director Jeannette Jaquish will choose a scene with roles for all who attend. We will brainstorm together what the characters are thinking, attempting, fearing, and what they know and do not know, and experiment with gestures that express, and movement onstage including entrances and exits. We have over 40 scripts of clever fun that Jeannette has written to work with. Introduction to woodworking and sewing included. This is a free event; donations for TekVenture Makerspace are appreciated.
Saturdays in January 2026, 2 to 3:30pm
1830 Wayne Trace, Enterprise Center, Door 8, Artistic Attic.
