We open on Friday the 19th of Sept and close on Nov 8. Patients and Staff have come down with the Hysterium Fungus INFECTION! They have become DEMENTED! Our customers love TIMED TICKETS. The wait times are much shorter with TIMED TICKETS. Go online and buy a time slot ticket. Then arrive 20 minutes before your time and proceed in line to the entrance. No long wait UNLESS you forget to buy online because then you have to pay more at the door and at the door the tickets cost more. If you don't buy online we may sell out because of limited tickets each night. Pay at the door line may be up to 2 hours. In 2023 the timed ticket customers were in the haunt door promptly on our busiest Saturday night. Customers that bought at the door paid more and waited up to 2 hours. Limited tickets available each night. 2025 Ticket prices are $25 online, $30 at the door with (PLATINUM Straight to the Door Passes are $45). All online tickets also have a ticket fee of $2.50. Reservations not required but highly recommended! . As you enter Hysterium, you will be immersed immediately into the lobby waiting room where the patients will show you how INFECTED they are and be glad to see you. They want to get out and the head nurse has to keep order while you wait your turn in to the intake area. If you get or not, you will be lost in the Hysterium Haunted Asylum and hopefully only have nightmares as you leave!!! . Back by popular demand: BLACKOUT.. Fri Nov 7 and Sat Nov 8 only from 7-10pm with TIMED TICKETS. Awarded Top Haunt status by the HAA, Haunted Attraction Association (one of only 50 in the USA) and named one of 13 MUST SEE haunts by the Scare Factor, which reviewed us in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024, 2025 as one of the BEST haunts in Indiana!

The Haunted Attraction Association announced the 2026 scholarship recipients. Each $1,000 scholarship goes to an individual who works in haunted attractions while continuing their education. The scholarship program reflects the
Association’s commitment to supporting the education, professional development, and future success of the people who help make the haunted attraction industry thrive. This year’s winners come from two of the association’s certified Top Haunts and a national operator.

- Joe Thaler Scholarship: Erin Sanders-Alcala
Erin works with Dark Hour Haunted House, a Plano, Texas attraction the HAA has certified as a Top Haunt.

- James K. Smith Memorial Scholarship: Hannah Augspurger
Hannah Augspurger of Huntington, Indiana, received the James K. Smith Memorial Scholarship. She is on the team at Hysterium Haunted Asylum in Fort Wayne, Indiana, another of the association’s certified Top Haunts.

- Bloody Mary Makeup Scholarship: Rose Rizzo
Rose Rizzo of Spring, Texas, received the Bloody Mary Makeup Scholarship, which supports makeup artists in the industry. She works with 13th Floor Entertainment Group, a national haunt operator whose 13th Floor Haunted Houses in cities including Houston and San Antonio are themselves certified Top Haunts.

How the Scholarships Work:
The Haunted Attraction Association awards three $1,000 scholarships each year to people at its member organizations. The Joe Thaler and James K. Smith Memorial scholarships go to students enrolled in accredited two- or four-year college programs, and the Bloody Mary Makeup Scholarship supports makeup artists working in haunted attractions, a craft at the center of any haunt. Eligible applicants include actors, makeup artists, cast and crew, individual members, and volunteers at HAA member organizations. Starting this year, the association has set a fixed deadline: nominations and applications are due by May 1.

“The strength and future of the haunted attraction industry depend on the talented people who bring our attractions to life,” the Haunted Attraction Association said. “These scholarships are an opportunity to recognize individuals who are investing in their education while also contributing their time, creativity, and talents to our industry. We congratulate Erin, Hannah, and Rose on being selected as our 2026 scholarship recipients.”

The HAA thanked Dark Hour Haunted House, Hysterium Haunted Asylum, and 13th Floor Entertainment Group for supporting the recipients.
