IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: After 17 incredible seasons, Rock the Plaza is taking its final bow. 🎸
What began in 2007—when live music options in our community were few—became a launching pad for countless local artists, a summer tradition for thousands, and a place where Allen County discovered something new. We’re proud that Rock the Plaza helped spotlight notable local acts and played a role in growing the vibrant music scene our community enjoys today.
But to everything there is a season and, nearly nineteen years later, Fort Wayne is rich with live music opportunities. At the same time, library resources and needs have changed.
This decision was not easy and comes with real sadness. We are deeply grateful to the musicians who trusted our stage, the partners and sponsors who believed in the program, the staff and volunteers who made every show happen behind the scenes, and—most of all—the audiences who showed up year after year.
AND we will not let the summer pass without one final concert to celebrate the legacy and impact of Rock the Plaza. Mark your calendars for July 18 from 4-10 p.m. and let’s ROCK THE PLAZA one more time with an extended concert featuring your local favorites from over the years. We’ll celebrate Rock the Plaza the way we started it – by singing, dancing, and rocking out together!
