Super Mario Bros pinball (Gottlieb, 1992)

Mario mania hits the playfield. Spell SUPER, shoot the revolving castle, warp through pipes, enlist Luigi and Yoshi, and try not to drain while you hunt Bowser and rescue Peach. First Gottlieb game with a DMD, and it still slaps.

In his 13th tournament, Apollo Peterson becomes the newest Stern Army Fort Wayne Pinball Wizard's World Weekly Champion. Chris Friend was runner-up, and Molly and Isaac tied for third.

The Wizard first met Mike Inman at our Indiana Pinball Show in 2018. From that day on, it was always a pleasure having someone close to my age to talk pinball with, someone who shared the same passion, the same stories, and the same love for the game.

Mike was a big part of Wizard’s World, that special community within the larger pinball world. He showed up, competed hard, and helped make those events feel like home for so many of us. Looking at his long list of tournaments over the years, it’s clear how deeply he was involved and how much he cared.

His last tournament was right here at Wizard’s World, which feels fitting. Mike left his mark on the machines, on the rankings, and more importantly, on the people who played alongside him.

Rest easy, Mike. The flippers will miss you. The community will miss you. And I’ll miss those conversations.
