Resurrexi is passionate about spreading the message of the glorious gospel of Jesus's resurrection and our new state of being by being raised to a new life with Christ. We are born again and live fresh and anew. Because Christ has risen we too join with him in saying, 'I have risen.'
RESURREXI VISION
Over 1000 years ago, master calligraphers and illustrators penned and sought to pass on the messa
ge of the Gospel. Imagine monks carefully writing and drawing psalms, prayer books and Bibles for contemplative thought and prayer; to share the Word of God; and to engage worship and praise of the Creator. These monks gave up their lives to live centrally for the One whom they loved. Resurrexi is re-illuminating these past artworks by making them come alive again in modern print-making fashion. THE ARTWORK
Essentially, we are recreating the art of our predecessors, honoring their work and making their work shine yet expressing it in a modern and fresh way. The work in the scriptorium was to recreate old manuscripts to maintain the written account and pass on what others spent their lives doing. The books were highly valuable and considered to be priceless, as there was no printing press and all were done by hand. There is a sense of honor to retain the legacy of the ones that have gone before us. It is our hope that you will be inspired by the old made new. Resurrexi is medieval art made modern. Nathan Skaggs, BS, BFA

The Skaggs' creatively express the message of the gospel by recreating and reinterpreting, in a new and fresh way, the works of master artisan monks of the renaissance and medieval eras. They bring back to life the works of art illustrated in bibles, prayer and song books used for liturgy services. They are intrigued by the simple power of the gospel being communicated through art. The Skaggs' are co-founders and owners of Skagga Inc. a design, marketing and web agency in Fort Wayne, IN. Nathan Skaggs earned his BFA while majoring in transportation and product design at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. He previously majored in Visual Art Communications at Huntington University, earning his BS and was licensed in K-12 Art Education. His thesis was in two major concentrations: automotive design and medieval and renaissance Christian art. Nathan provides art direction and oversees production of Resurrexi artworks. Jeanie Skaggs has an AA in Early Childhood Education and BS in Computer Information Systems. She has a passion for art with an affinity for illuminated manuscripts and Early Christian artworks. With a love for interior decorating and and ‘eye’ for design, she provides vision and assists with art direction of Resurrexi. The Skaggs' focus on integrating design through many media platforms.
