Kayaks, tie-dye, clarinets, and new friendships? That's a week at ICE! 🎶🛶🎨

At the Indiana Clarinet Experience, students do more than improve their playing. They explore the entire clarinet family, perform exciting music, learn from passionate professional musicians, and build friendships that last long after camp ends. From rehearsals and masterclasses to kayaking and tie-dye, every day is packed with music, fun, and unforgettable memories.

🎨 Mini Makers are rolling—and creating!

This week, young artists are painting, building, and exploring their creativity with Stephanie Bellinger, art teacher at Forest Park and Bunche Montessori. Our campers are diving into hands-on artmaking in the studio and discovering new ways to express themselves through art.

Families are invited to join us for a special Gallery Walk on Friday to see all the incredible work our Mini Makers have created throughout the week!

🌿🎨 Mini Makers Clay Textures kicked off yesterday!

Our young artists explored the outdoors, gathering leaves, flowers, sticks, and other natural treasures to discover the many textures found in nature.

Then, they transformed those discoveries into works of art by pressing them into clay and creating beautiful textured impressions. 🍃✨

We can't wait to see what our Mini Makers create next—follow along all week for more camp highlights!

Share the love of the uke with your kiddos at our
NEW Uke Can Do It! camp for Grades 4–7.
Led by FWCS music teacher Lisa Christman, kids will learn how to hold down a chord on the uke as well as basic finger picking. A perfect intro to the guitar!

🎶 Students of all ages collaborate!🎶

Thanks to the Community Connections: Southeast Arts Project Grant through Arts United, creative opportunities are reaching students in meaningful ways across Southeast Fort Wayne.

Through this support, Purdue Fort Wayne Music Therapy graduate Madison Boyden and music therapy student Megan Brown partnered with Trent Forrest and Ms. Stoner’s 5th grade students to write and create their own original music using Google’s Chrome Song Maker. 🎧✨

Through trial and error, small groups created beats and then determined what worked (sounded like music) and what didn't (sounded like a jumble of sounds).

Shark Tank winner—the ChompsSaw—is the star of our FIRST EVER ChompSaw Makers Lab!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Indiana Arts Commission, FWCS students (selected by their art teachers) participated at no cost.
