This past week we had 2 platoons from the 1/24 Infantry Regiment participate in the Warrior Adventure Quest program! Their high-adventure activity of choice was reball 🔫 (like paintball but with rubber balls), which took place in the laser tag arena at the Last Frontier Community Activity Center. This adrenaline filled activity allowed the opportunity to enhance communication skills, to strategize, and to have a fun day with their unit! After reball, they took the chance to wind down and enjoy a BBQ and axe throwing 🪓.
If you’re not familiar with the Warrior Adventure Quest (WAQ) program, it is an Army wide program that focuses on enhancing unit cohesion, individual/unit morale, and combat readiness through participation in high-adventure activities! It is open to all active duty soldiers and the best part is it’s absolutely FREE to the individuals/units involved!
It is super easy to start organizing this for your unit and there are few requirements that need to be met.
1) the activity must be done at the platoon level and everyone within the platoon is supposed to be involved.
2) individuals can only participate once every 365 days.
3) the activity must take place during normal duty days/hours.
4) your Company Commander must sign the endorsement form to approve the units involvement.
It’s that easy! So if you’re interested in getting something organized for your platoon, give us a call at (907) 361-2652! But call soon because our summer calendar is filling up quick!
