Friday was the annual Sculpture class pipe cleaner tower challenge. The team whose tower stands the tallest at the end of class wins. This years winning height was 35 1/2”. Challenge: 45 minutes, 20 pipe cleaners, plus 3 thin white ones given half way through. And go!

AP scores have been posted! We are very proud to announce that all 13 AP Art students who submitted portfolios passed! We had four 5s, four 4s, and five 3s. Great job!👏

Had 2 seniors come back this week, after graduating last Friday, to finish their book locker paintings! (First two pics)
And another who finished hers and will be back next year to paint another. Not bad for year one. Wonder how long it will take us to finish the whole row? 🤔

Our annual AP Art Portfolio reward trip was today. We took 8 talented students to see an amazing America 250th Anniversary exhibit and the awesome permanent collection. We saw many master works. Here are a few of my favorites by Jacob Lawrence, Jasper Johns, Jackson Po***ck, Thomas Hart Benton,
Jean-Michel Basquiat, Maxfield Parish, and Norman Rockwell.
