Well, I guess you can say we’re not really “small” when it comes to caring for so many fur babies and keeping them happy and healthy. Some people won’t ever understand, and that’s okay. Maybe we’re just not the farm family with you, and that’s okay too.
When you book with a small business, especially a business like ours that works with live animals, you are not simply reserving a service. You are reserving a specific date and time that we can no longer offer to someone else.
Our policies are not created to be difficult or unfair. They are in place because running a mobile petting zoo comes with REAL, ongoing responsibilities and expenses. Our animals must be fed, housed, cared for, kept healthy, transported safely, and properly insured regardless of whether an event moves forward.
Once your date is booked, we begin turning away other families and events requesting that same date. If a cancellation happens, even two months in advance, there is no guarantee that we will be able to fill that date again. That is why cancellation policies, retainers, deposits, and booking terms exist. We will do our best to work with you but again, there are policies.
Policies are a normal part of doing business. Hotels have them. Airlines have them. Venues have them. Photographers, caterers, rental companies, and countless other businesses have them and Disney too 😉
When booking with any business, please take the time to carefully read the emails, invoices, contracts, and policies provided to you before submitting payment. We make our policies available throughout the booking process because we want every client to understand exactly what they are agreeing to.
Supporting a small business also means respecting the policies that allow that business to continue operating.
We truly appreciate every family who chooses us for their special events, and we will always do our best to communicate clearly and treat our clients fairly. In return, we simply ask that our time, our animals, our business, and the policies you agreed to be respected.
