Elevate Acting Studio is proud to announce our next performance; WITH THEIR EYES.

Tuesday, September 11, started off like any other day at Stuyvesant High School, located only a few blocks away from the World Trade Center.

The semester was just beginning, and the students, faculty, and staff were ready to start a new year. But within a few hours on that Tuesday morning, they would share an experience that would transform their lives—and the lives of all Americans. WITH THEIR EYES is a play of testimonials of actual students and staff of Stuyvesant High School describing the herendous events that took place right outside of their school.

This one night only performance will take place on Friday, September 11th at 7pm in remember the 25th anniversary of this national tragedy. After the performance will be a talk back discussion as well as a candlelight vigil in remember of all of those who lost their lives on 9/11.

Our next college theatre announcement is....

SHENNAN NELSON

Who will be attending The University of North Carolina School for the Arts!!!!

We are beyond proud of this amazing young actress!! With offers to some of the best acting schools in the US, Shennan chose UNCSA!!!

Shennan was one of the very first students I met when I moved to Florida and even at eight years old I knew this student was going to do amazing things in the theatre and she did!!! And is continuing to do so!

Being one of the most versatile young actors I've had the pleasure to work with, her performances in Bulletproof Backpack and Lord of the Flies were that of a true professional. Always attacking each role with a true gutteral groundedness and leaving nothing on the table. Shennan constantly pushes herself for nothing but excellence and honesty in her characters. Her artistic integrity is beyond measure and her work onstage more than proves it.

Her performance as Carrie White in CARRIE THE MUSICAL was multi dimensional with a true sense of vulnerability and fierce power, all at the same time. Each night she left audiences with their jaws on the floor.

Next up she will be playing Anna in FROZEN THE MUSICAL which is sure to be another uncanny performance.

This will be a giant step in what will sure to be a mammoth artistic journey. Also a bittersweet goodbye knowing that she is sure to venture forward to amazing things.

Our next college theatre announcement is....

Jaelynn Lias!!!!

She will be attending UCF in the Fall pursuing her BFA in Acting.

Jaelynn has been with us almost six years and has been one of the mlst professional and hardworking students I've ever seen! Few can compare to her work ethics and the amount of attention and detail she pours into every project she does. Even as young child she treated ebery opportunity as one to better herself and harness her artistic ambitions. And it paid off!
Jaelynn has done multiple productions at Arts Bonita as well as playing the protagonist; Ralph in The Lord of The Flies The Experience at Elevate Acting Studio. Her portrayal of Ralph was beyond powerful bringing audiences to tears showcasing her artful vulnerability alongside the cjaracyers true grit and power.

Whether she is playing the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland, or dancing in the ensembles of a musical, showcasing her modern movement skills in Spring Awakening or originating a role in the world premeir play; The Boy From Block 66, her work is never short of excellence.

Please join me in congratulating this truly special human and everything she has accomplished as well as the many accomplishments that are soon to come!
