Jumpstart your day with our annual 5K timed run– Publix Run to the Arts, on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 8 a.m. From “silver sneakers” to fast-footed kids, this family-friendly ArtFest tradition is open to all ages and athletic abilities. You can walk, run, stroll, roll, or even skip! So pick your speed and take it step-by-step. Advanced registration is required. ART FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Art is for everyone! That’s why we plan ArtFest to offer new experiences for visitors of any age. Little artists can find creative fun and entertainment at the Publix Art Yard and the We Are Overflowing 2022 installation to see how a little imagination can turn anything into the perfect canvas. Art Under 20. ArtFest welcomes nearly 300 high school artists to compete for $10,000 in cash prizes! Their work will be judged behind closed doors on Friday evening, but the work of these up-and-coming artists can be enjoyed all weekend. Don’t miss the chance to meet these talented young people! Chalk Block. On Saturday, 40 teams of high school students will create artistic murals with chalk. We Are Overflowing. Middle school students from eight schools use recycled materials to create sculptures representing clean water. BEHIND-THE-SCENES ACCESS FOR VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers make ArtFest happen! Our friendly crew of weekend volunteers greet guests and attendees, support the artists, and work behind the scenes. Every volunteer and every four-hour shift is vital to the success of our festival. We’ll train you for your role, and you’ll get a free volunteer t-shirt to keep.
