An evening of dialogue, contrast, and collective brilliance 🎶
NYCP presents Mozart to Modernity, a program that showcases the dynamic artistry of horn player Wilden Dannenberg, whose work spans from American roots-inspired repertoire to cutting-edge contemporary music. With recent highlights including solo premieres at Carnegie Hall and performances set against the breathtaking landscapes of Canyonlands National Park, Wilden brings both depth and adventurous spirit to the stage.

An alumnus of Ensemble Connect (Juilliard & Carnegie Hall) with degrees from Florida State and Stony Brook, he is also a dedicated educator and faculty member at Adelphi University, shaping the next generation of musicians alongside his work as a performer.

Joined by a stellar ensemble of NYCP artists, this program traces an evolving musical conversation — from the folk-inflected modernism of Erwin Schulhoff, through the lyrical elegance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Kegelstatt Trio, to the vibrant, jazz-tinged energy of Ernő Dohnányi’s Sextet.
A true “mini-orchestral” masterpiece, Dohnányi’s Sextet brings the evening to a brilliant close — blending late-Romantic richness with wit, color, and spirited interplay.

An unforgettable voice takes the stage at Fort Lee Music Hall 🎶
Clarinetist Yoonah Kim, hailed by The New York Times for her “inexhaustible virtuosity,” brings a radiant and deeply expressive artistry to our stage. A trailblazing musician, she is the first solo clarinetist in nearly three decades to win the Concert Artists Guild International Competition, and continues to shape the next generation as a faculty member at NYU Steinhardt and co-founder of Chime for Children.
With a sound praised for its clarity and “endless silken tone,” she brings luminous elegance to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Kegelstatt Trio and vibrant, jazzy character to Ernő Dohnányi’s Sextet — revealing striking contrasts in color, texture, and spirit.

We’re honored to welcome artists of this caliber to our stage

An evening of virtuosity at Fort Lee Music Hall 🎻

Praised as a “virtuoso violinist” by The Boston Globe, Edson Scheid brings a distinctive artistry that bridges both modern and period performance. A Kovenr Fellow at Juilliard with additional studies at Yale and the Mozarteum Salzburg, he has performed on leading stages from Carnegie Hall to the Elbphilharmonie, and with ensembles including Orchestra of St. Luke’s and Opera Lafayette.

His acclaimed recording of Niccolò Paganini’s 24 Caprices has been recognized for its bold, “revolutionary” spirit — a reflection of his fearless and versatile musical voice.
In this program, he brings that same brilliance to works by Erwin Schulhoff, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Ernő Dohnányi, spanning striking contrasts in style, texture, and character.

We’re honored to welcome artists of this caliber to our stage.
