LUCKY 🍀 Because I’m here and that’s the only thing that matters!
I had so much fun drawing this!! I’ve been really into playing with colors lately, and for a minute there I was feeling creatively uninspired. But drawing random things I’ve been gravitating toward recently (without looking too deeply into it all) has felt really silly and freeing. I feel like I’m entering a new era of making “funky” things, and it makes me really happy to be in this space.
There are so many talented artists on here that I look up to, and it’s really cool seeing the way our creativity shifts collectively and witnessing all the different phases everyone goes through. I’m always scared that when I make something new after being absent for a while, it’ll feel disconnected from the things I’ve made before. But then I remember, I have free will lol. This is all for fun. Drawing has always been my favorite hobby and pastime, and I really don’t need to take it all so seriously.
People change, and as artists, our perspectives, preferences, and styles will change too and that’s totally fine. That’s the only way to evolve 🦋
All of that to say- I liked making this!! And if you read all of this, embrace wherever you’re at right now. Give your attention and love to whatever weird, quirky, random thing you’re into lately. It’s worth it if it brings you even the smallest glimmer of joy or fun.
