Continuing the announcements of artists we'll be featuring in the exhibit as part of 3rd Annual Art Fort Lauderdale - "The Art Fair On The Water"; Today we're proud to announce the participation of Erick Vilches aka in January 24th-27th, 2019!
As a child, Erick Vilches unknowingly found himself in a life of art. It innocently started with simple sketches on the edges of classroom papers and later developed into murals that he worked on alongside his mother. It’s something that seemed to come natural to him, and ran in the family.
Instinctively, and with a keen sense of curiosity to discover the world around him, he embarked on a journey that helped develop the style he has today. He immersed himself in the textures, shapes, and vibrant colors that cultures around the world offered him, and it’s where his most brilliant and striking palettes originate.
While Erick has lived a life full of thrill, it hasn’t come without its bumps.
After surviving a frightening motorcycle accident, that confined him to a bed for months, he came to a deep realization of the things he took for granted. Re-learning how to walk was an incredibly difficult obstacle to overcome, but with it came a transformative mental shift. He realized that life is incredibly precious, and that it’s meant to be lived fully, every day.
Through these experiences of adventure and hardship, Erick has created his own unique approach of blending positivity, music, fashion, and style into truly unique works of art
