Sunshine Cathedral: Rite of Blessing - The High Holy Day known as Pride Sunday (the last Sunday in Pridetide)

JOIN US JUNE 28 FOR OUR SPECIAL PRIDE SERVICE – we celebrate the LBGTQQIAA+ children of God every day of every week, but there are occasions where we even raise the celebration bar a bit higher.

The High Holy Day known as Pride Sunday (the last Sunday in Pridetide) is such an occasion.On Pride Sunday, not only will prayers, readings, and the homily be offered in joyful celebration of the holy Rainbow Community, but during the second service we will offer a Rite of Blessing (or, more likely, THREE).

We will bless and give thanks for legally married couples (gay, le***an, bi, heterosexual, and trans).We will also offer to bless couples (of any adult human configuration) who aren’t legally married but who live in sacred covenant, nevertheless.

And finally, we will offer a blessing to singles who are open to a new relationship, including a new loving relationship with oneself.

Join us on June 28 for worship and celebration and if you want a special blessing, it will be offered mid-service at the 10:30 Mass.
