Matthew Darren presents A Night at the Theater for the Sunshine Pride House at Sunshine Cathedral Center for the Performing Arts

Sunshine Cathedral Center for the Performing Arts and The Our Fund Foundation are proud to partner with Matthew Darren and D-Rock Productions in "A Night at the Theater" - Musical favorites from Stage and Screen.

This event is a community fundraiser for the Sunshine Pride House.

The Sunshine Pride House provides safe, affirming housing and supportive services for LGBTQ+ young people experiencing housing instability. The program focuses on stability, independence, and long-term success through individualized support, life skills development, and community connection.

The Sunshine Cathedral Foundation owns and manages the Sunshine Pride House, while wrap around services for residents are provided by Sunshine Social Services (SunServe).

We are deeply thankful to Michael Kalb (of blessed memory) and Dion Westerman and Terry Merlin for their extraordinary generosity related to the Sunshine Pride House. We are also grateful to Floatarama which has donated funds to the Sunshine Pride House for the last two years via the LGBTQ Youth Fund at The Our Fund Foundation.

Sunshine Cathedral: Rite of Blessing - The High Holy Day known as Pride Sunday (the last Sunday in Pridetide)

JOIN US JUNE 28 FOR OUR SPECIAL PRIDE SERVICE – we celebrate the LBGTQQIAA+ children of God every day of every week, but there are occasions where we even raise the celebration bar a bit higher.

The High Holy Day known as Pride Sunday (the last Sunday in Pridetide) is such an occasion.On Pride Sunday, not only will prayers, readings, and the homily be offered in joyful celebration of the holy Rainbow Community, but during the second service we will offer a Rite of Blessing (or, more likely, THREE).

We will bless and give thanks for legally married couples (gay, le***an, bi, heterosexual, and trans).We will also offer to bless couples (of any adult human configuration) who aren’t legally married but who live in sacred covenant, nevertheless.

And finally, we will offer a blessing to singles who are open to a new relationship, including a new loving relationship with oneself.

Join us on June 28 for worship and celebration and if you want a special blessing, it will be offered mid-service at the 10:30 Mass.
