For all my travels, 280+ days a year, I always keep October free to be home. 🎃

Why? Monster Month in Elora. This festival in Elora has grown over the last twenty years into a must-see October destination, drawing tens of thousands of people throughout the month. I usually volunteer and host some of the magic events as part of the festivities.

This year's travels have been intense, but I'm still covering all the events locally with my friends Barb and Don on our podcast (Elora Fergus Podcast). It keeps me connected to the community I love, all year long.

Here's a look at one of the highlight events of the month, the Monster March parade, with Wh***ey in costume and me on safari, hunting monsters. 👻🐶

I love Halloween-- my community has made a name for itself as Ontario's Halloween destination because of a month-long festival called Monster Month in Elora .

Events run all month, and tonight is one of the biggest: the Monster March, a parade through town.

My friend Barb and I have a local podcast, Elora Fergus Podcast and we cover all these events (I only get to cover a few these days with all my travels)

So we stopped by our local costume shop, to pick up a costume! Wh***ey got one too.

Do I ever get sick of the travel? Here's why I always keep late September and October open at home. 🍁

That's a wrap on our emergency cruise ship gig! ✈️🐶 A trip to Quebec City, magic shows, a hypnosis comedy show, a surprise sea day, a new bandana, and now home, where Wh***ey is getting reacquainted with his favourite sniffing spots.

Last port of the week: Portland, Maine! 🍁🐶 Sunrise, cobblestones, autumn colours, and a pet shop where Wh***ey went looking for a toy and left with a bandana.

Rough seas kept the ship from docking, so we got a surprise day at sea, and my hypnosis show turned into a standing-room-only matinee. 😴🌊

Wh***ey stayed backstage, unbothered by the waves. 🐶

Tomorrow we're off the ship. Any guesses where we are?

We made it! Rejoining the Celebrity Silhouette in Quebec City mid-cruise, and the first welcome back went straight to Wh***ey. 🛳️🐶

About 280 days a year onboard, so it really does feel like coming home. What would you want to see next: cabin tour, show day, or Wh***ey's first ship walk?
