“Emergency” is my reflection on what I can remember about my accident last year. I photographed this shot with natural light as I was outside in the heat of Florida when it all happened. It was nothing, but an emergency on my focus, my fears, my tears, and my life. The red phone reflects this urgency as it is off the hook showing how fast things had to happen to keep me alive. Although, everything seemed as though time had completely stopped, the confusion and fear were too intense to fathom experiencing again. My life was altered forever after waking up from the surgery with the bright light in my eyes as the birth of my new journey began reflected in the brilliance of the photograph.
