The Maine Mayhem Film Festival is coming to Fort Kent!

On Tuesday, June 9th at 7:00 PM, Fort Kent Cinema will screen this year's 16th annual showcase of original short films made entirely by students at Southern Maine Community College.

The 2026 The Maine Mayhem Film Festival consists of eight shorts and 15 micro-shorts — titles like "The Loon," "It's Just a Common Nightmare," "Pushover," "Fret," and more — all written, directed, and produced by emerging filmmakers as their final capstone project.

Past festival alumni have gone on to work on projects like CODA and Knives Out. Tonight's filmmakers are just getting started.

🎬 Movie Night: The Maine Mayhem Film Festival 🎬

We're thrilled to be hosting a special showing of the Maine Mayhem Film Festival at Fort Kent Cinema on Tuesday, June 9th! 🍿

Now in its 16th year, Maine Mayhem showcases original short films written, directed, and produced by second-year students in Southern Maine Community College's Communications and New Media Studies program. It's the culmination of their capstone work and a chance to see Maine's next generation of filmmakers bring their stories to life.

This year's lineup packs eight featured short films plus 15 micro-shorts into roughly two hours of energy, style, and exceptional young talent. 🎥
