✨ A little something different! ✨

I was asked to create one of these trending hand-painted banners, and I had SO much fun bringing it to life! 🎨🍋

If you’ve been thinking about having a custom banner made for your next birthday, bachelorette, baby shower, or just-for-fun project, I’d love to create one for you! I’m always up for trying new ideas and bringing your vision to life. 🤗

As always, I’m also accepting orders for custom business signs and booking face painting for parties, events & celebrations! 🎨✨

Thank you to Nails by J. Lynn for the mural commission!
It was so much fun working on this design and seeing the finished concept come to life with each layer of paint. 🤩

A little late to it, but happy (belated) World Art Day💚

I’ve been thinking a lot about how lucky I am to be able to create things that live out in the world... on walls, signs, and spaces that people pass by every day. Every mural and piece I’ve done has taught me something new, pushed me a little outside my comfort zone, and connected me with some really great people along the way.

I’m still learning, still growing, and still figuring things out as I go, but I’m really grateful for everyone who’s trusted me with their ideas and supported my work so far.

Here’s a little look at some of the pieces I’ve had the chance to bring to life along the way. 🌿

Feeling especially grateful this morning 🤍

I’m just so thankful to be a part of a community that values creativity and the impact it has on our lives. Forever wishing Rivertown Community Arts Center was around when I was a kid, but forever thankful for how it’s shaping the experiences of kids now .

To have a photo from my class be included in something that helps advocate for the importance of arts and culture is incredibly special. It’s a reminder that even the smallest moments, like teaching kids how to paint a moose, can be part of something much bigger.

Cultural Advocacy Day is tomorrow (Thursday) from 1-4pm in the Hall of Flags at the State Capitol. According to the Cultural Alliance of Maine (CAM), "In addition to being a creative, vibrant, and joyful gathering of familiar and new faces from across the statewide cultural industries, it's an important opportunity to tell our legislature that a strong cultural sector is a prerequisite for healthy, vibrant, and prosperous communities."

CAM has written an interesting policy paper that includes some fascinating data, including:
🎶- the percentage of Mainers that have attended a live performance (theater, music, dance)
💲- the dollar amount of savings for Mainers who utilized library services
💼- the number of Maine jobs in the cultural sector
➕- & lots more!

CAM requested photos and quotes from us to include in this paper, and we're happy to see they selected a photo from our "How to Paint a Moose" kids program led by Sophie Ouellette of Spruce Routes Art, and a quote from Stephanie, one of our members (we took a screenshot!). 🩷

Check out the full paper! https://shorturl.at/WNX6X
And if you're in the Augusta area, participate in Cultural Advocacy Day tomorrow and share with legislators why culture and creativity are important to you! For more info, visit: https://www.culturalmaine.org/advocacyday
