Work of Art Wednesday is here & this week we want to show off the amazing projects from our Back2School Kids camp!
Our creative kiddos got to experience all kinds of art forms during our 2 day camp.
Some pottery, some glass, and a little bit of paint!
We started Day 1 with Ceramics Figurines (Gotta collect em' all)
and then we taught the kids about Sgraffito! By scratching away the top layers of their glazes they revealed a rainbow surface below! Creating unique one of a kind coasters. Some of the kids even took the Sgraffito back to their figurines adding unique textures to their animals.
Day two we started with our Fused Glass SUNcatchers or *SPLATS as most of the kids decided to call them. Using small pieces of glass we used a mosaic style to add different colors and textures to the glass & then melted them all together in the kiln.
We took the Sgraffito to the glass side of things where the kids removed a black enamel from their window hangers to create a design, image, or saying.. then rainbow powdered glass was sprinkled on the back to reveal their multicolored art work (I neglected to get all these photographed but I did snag a few before they got ready to go out the door)
During our extra time the kids colored, drew, and then painted little rock pets to take home and place outside or leave around town for others to find! (also neglected to get pics 😔)

Overall we had a blast at kids camp this summer & we can't wait for our Winter Break Round so make sure you are following us to stay up-to-date for when sign ups drop!

Due to a family emergency Studio Fusion with be CLOSED
Tomorrow, Thursday August 27th & Friday August 28th.
We will resume regular hours Saturday August 29th at 10am. Lauren will be working to help us out at the Studio.
Our Google business has been updated to reflect these hour changes as well.
